Are you a Leader?

Managers tell their people what to do, with little room for anyone else’s opinion and a ‘my way or the highway’ approach. Leaders coach their people through shared vision. They inspire, they invite debate, they are prepared to be challenged and most importantly are capable of being influenced as well as influencing. They find no shame in acknowledging a better way of doing something.

This country has a shortage of strong and effective leaders and the Government has recognized this. It has introduced support schemes through LMAS and you could be eligible for the funding if you apply now.

To meet the criteria, you need to be the head of an organization and have 5 staff or volunteers that you are responsible for managing.

This course is aimed at Community and Small Business leaders and is a fast paced course that develops the leader in the Individuals, taking an inside out approach to transform themselves and their businesses.

Inspired by Covey’s infamous “7 Habits to Effective Leadership”, this course covers principles, missioning, values, marketing and finance.

How will you be assessed?

Assessment is through participation or experiential learning practise and completion of written assignments and coaching sessions.

Course dates:   2^nd, 9^th and 16^th March, 7th April (+ 4 1 hour business performance coaching sessions)  (30 GLH)
